Mark 9:23

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

God has given each one of us a special gift. It is our ability to believe. In the Kingdom, whatever you want or ask for is all in the believing. You want to be successful. You want to overcome. You want to prosper. You want to do what God calls you to do, or to fulfill God-given destiny. It’s all in the believing.

There is an incredible power in what you believe. What you believe is greater than what the enemy says. It is greater than what he says or she says, or what the Medical Report says. God has the final say. What God says supersedes the natural law. Romans 1:16.

There is a difference between fact and faith. Fact is the state of the matter. Faith is what God can do about it. It’s a fact that there was drought and famine in Gerer, where Isaac was living. Nothing anybody planted could grow. And Isaac wanted to run to Egypt. But God told Isaac not to go. He must stay in Gerer. Who would not want to run away? No rain. No water. No good soil. No food. No hope. But despite the obvious, Isaac believed God. He stayed in Gerer, and planted in the dry soil. And God caused it to grow. And Isaac became the only one you got to pay to get food. The Bible says he prospered, and kept prospering, until he became very prosperous. Genesis 26.

Against all odds, if you will believe, you can do what God puts in your heart. What He says you can have, you can have. And whatever God says you will become, you are going to become.

By Apostle Paul’s prayer, we know that the power of God is activated for those who believe. The Maker of the universe is ready to release Healing, Promotions, Breakthrough, and Abundance. But you have to release your faith to get it. Ephesians 1:18-19.

It’s possible to have a dream, or a promise from God. And because you are not seeing it come to pass, you assume it’s some kind of enemy that’s standing in your way of fulfillment. Or you might think it’s some curse that’s keeping you from what God has for you. And many times you are waiting on the Lord to kill or remove the enemy, or to deliver you from certain curse, while God is waiting on you to believe. It’s all in the believing, your victory.

I tell you that there is no enemy that can stop you from obtaining what you really believe. No situation can hold you back either. You can experience some delay. But you cannot be denied what God already sent your way. The gift of God is irrevocable. Romans 11:29.

The big question here is, “Do you believe?” When God says, “No weapon cast against you shall prosper,” do you believe? He says every tongue that rises against you, you shall condemn. He says you are enthroned with Jesus Christ above principalities and powers, might and dominion. He says you are blessed and you cannot be cursed. Do you believe? Your victory is all in your believing. Isaiah 54:17; Ephesians 1:17-21; Numbers 23:8, 23.

You go to church only to get in a fight with the devil and some demons. But I tell you what you are looking for is not in that fist fight or curse fight. It’s in your faith fight. What you want is in your believing. Your breakthrough is in your believing. Your healing, your promotion, your abundance, your relationship, your victory are all in your believing. 1Timothy 6:12.

Faith is the Umbilical Cord that connects you to God’s goodness. If by faith you will be in agreement with God, you will receive what you believe for. Let’s look at Mary’s faith. While Mary was still a virgin, the angel Gabriel told her she was going to get pregnant and give birth to a Baby Boy. She did not argue. She did not talk herself out of it. She said, “I am a believer. I am in agreement with God.” And Mary became the most blessed among women. Luke 1:26-38.

Sometimes like Mary, God will put a promise in your heart, which says: You are going to be well. You are going to start a business. You are going to meet somebody for a lasting relationship. You are going to recover your loss. And instead of you to say, “Amen,” you say, “But, I’ve been waiting too long. The Medical Report is too bad. Nobody in this situation ever made it.”

But I want to encourage you to be like Mary. Instead of talking yourself out of it, you should simply respond with three simple words: “Lord, I believe.” God says your children will be for Signs and Wonders. “Lord, I believe.” He says He is going to restore the years that were stolen from you. You will be the head and not the tail. He says you will prosper in all your ways. “Lord, I believe.”

When you’re in agreement with God, the incredible greatness of His power is activated. That was the situation with Jairus. Jairus was a leader of the Synagogue. But his daughter was sick and about to die. Jairus came looking for Jesus. He met Jesus surrounded by multitude of people. He told Jesus his situation. And Jesus agreed to go to his house to heal the girl. But while they were wriggling out of the crowd, a woman who had been suffering from the issue of blood for twelve years sneaked behind Jesus and touched the helm of the Lord’s garment. And power came out of Jesus to heal the woman instantly.

Now while Jesus waited a bit to perfect the woman’s healing, news came from Jairus’ house to leave the Messiah alone, that his daughter had died. The Lord heard that, and He said to Jairus, “If you will only believe, your daughter would live.” And you know what? Jairus believed. Left to you and I, we would take off and run home to see the dead girl. But Jairus waited on the Lord. And because Jairus believed, Jesus went home with him, and restored his little girl back to life. Luke 8:50.

You may be facing a seemingly impossible situation. And you don’t see how you can get well, or how you can come out of this, or how you can recover your marriage. Or you cannot figure out how to come out of debt. God is saying to you as He said to Jairus, “If you will only believe.” He says if you will believe, He will turn the situation around. New doors shall open unto you. Breakthrough shall head your way. And your dreams shall be fulfilled.

We are saying if you will believe. Not if you pray 24 hours a day. Not if you will curse some. If you will only believe that you can overcome; that you can beat the cancer; that you can do something great; that you can pay your debts. When you believe, the surpassing greatness of God’s power is released to work for you.

You might need to change your attitude. You’ve been negative for too long. You got to lose your doubt and find your faith. You got to change from “I can’t” to “I can.” You got to change from it is impossible, to it will happen, from I will never get well, to God will restore my health. Change from I have made too many mistakes, to my best days are still ahead of me.

It may look impossible. But if you believe, God will do for you what He did for Jairus. God will resurrect your dreams, revive your energy, renew your relationship, and restore your marriage. What you thought was gone and done, He will kick-start it afresh. It does not matter how many people have told you ‘No.” God has the final say. It’s not over until God says it’s over. He controls the whole universe.

You might be feeling forsaken by God. Things can be so bad you think God has left you. Or, you are losing your faith because you thought God should have done it long ago, and He didn’t. Mary and Martha felt that way too. Their brother, Lazarus, was sick. They sent for Jesus to come, that his friend was sick. Jesus did not come. Lazarus got heart attack. Jesus did not show up. Lazarus died. Jesus did not even come to the funeral.

Four days after Lazarus was buried, rotting, and stinking, Jesus strolled into town. Mary and Martha thought, “Too late.” But Jesus went to the tomb where Lazarus was laid, He called out his name, “Lazarus come out.” And the dead man came out alive and strong. John 11.

What am I saying? You would think it's too late because you have something on your mind while God has something else on His mind. If you believe for the healing of your ‘brother’, and that didn’t happen, if you still believe, the Lord will do the resurrection of his body.

God never stopped working on it. And He will work it out. It might take some time. He is still working it out. It might look like it’s never going to come to pass. You might look like you’re never going to get well. Your marriage might look like it’s going to fall apart. You think you are losing control over your children. Your hope might be so dim you can’t even see the sun.

But if only you’ll lose your doubt & find your faith, and believe what God says about you and your situation, and begin to walk in the attitude of His promises, God will release His surpassing power. And He will strengthen you and help you. He will cause you to rise to a height you’ve never dreamt of. He will fight your battles and put your enemies to shame. And He will cause you to have everything He has promised you to have, and take you to the places he has said He would take you, even beyond.

If you want to win, and win big, you cannot do and not believe. You cannot lose your faith at this point. Why lose your faith in your marriage anyway when God can restore it with the ‘Second Wine? Why lose your faith on your children when God can make them signs and wonders? Why lose your faith on your school when God can increase your anointing for learning? Why lose your faith on your business when God can open new doors? Why lose your faith on your job when promotions can still come from above?

I am asking you. Why lose your faith on your health when the stripes on Jesus back can heal you? Why lose your faith when our God is the Author and the Finisher of your faith? Yes, He is. Not you. Not the devil. Not any man, but God. You should rather lose your doubt and find your faith, and get your dream back on fire. God is saying the little time left in the year is enough to cause you to laugh for joy.

Friend, you got to tell your heart to believe, and run with the vision you have. And God will go before you. He will release favor in your path. He will give you good breaks. He will bring the right people your way, and give you the right connections. He will strengthen you to break through. He will finish what He has started in you. And your year will end in success, and in fruitfulness, in satisfaction, in prosperity and victory.
